Tighten Your Skin At A Medical Spa Or Skin Treatment Center

When facial skin sags, it can tend to look loose along the cheeks, forehead, and jawline. A topical skin product or a non-invasive cosmetic procedure can aid with tightening problematic areas.

A Medical Spa Or Skin Treatment Center

A medical spa or skin treatment center may feature products and services that have been deemed effective and safe for a wide range of skin types. An esthetician is a skincare specialist who may offer cleansing, treatment, and cosmetic services.

At a medical spa or treatment center, a client can choose from a series of non-invasive services. Products and tools that are used for treatments are typically included in the cost of a service. A spa or treatment center may feature an array of services that will aid with skin rejuvenation and the minimalization of scars, wrinkles, and other blemishes.

Topical Products

There isn't any scientific proof that a moisturizer or skin tightening cream will provide dramatic or long lasting results. Many topical products, however, are designed to benefit the skin and can provide subtle to moderate results. A spa or treatment center may feature topical creams, gels, or lotions that contain retinoids. Retinoids are known to prompt the production of collagen.

Retinoids can aid with the reduction of wrinkles. A product that is applied at a medical spa or skin treatment center will provide temporary results. An esthetician may provide a client with a facial. During the facial, a topical product will be applied to the facial skin. At the conclusion of the facial, an esthetician may offer a cosmetic service. A client will learn how to apply makeup strategically, further adding to a tighter and more youthful appearance along the facial area.

Non-Invasive Procedures

Radiofrequency and laser resurfacing are two non-invasive procedures that can be used for skin tightening. Each process can be conducted quickly, with little to no discomfort. With radiofrequency, a thin needle is inserted into the skin. Heat is emitted into targeted areas. This process allows an esthetician to strategically target the areas where skin appears to be the loosest. Radiofrequency can be performed on the face and other body parts.

Laser resurfacing will require some downtime. Although this process isn't very painful, it may result in skin being red and slightly sore for a few days. A laser resurfacing process, however, can provide longer lasting results than radiofrequency. A laser wand is applied to the skin being treated during a laser resurfacing service.
